To prevent Microsoft Edge’s browsing history from being used, follow these steps:
- First, open your Microsoft Edge browser.
- Click on the “Copilot icon” in the upper-right corner to open the menu. Then, open link in new tab. Now go to homburg icon, click on “Safe Search”, choose “Personalization” menu.
- Turn off “Allow Microsoft to access page content” and click save.
This is not over; you need to set some more crucial settings:
- Click on the three horizontal dots in the upper-right corner to open the menu.
- Then, select “Settings”. Search for Personalization, and then turn off “Allow Microsoft to access your browsing activity” setting.
- Again search for browsing, and clear cache and browsing history.
If you have activated Bing chat, then
- In the Settings menu, scroll down and find “Bing Chat” Click on it to access the Bing Chat settings.
- Once you’re in the Bing Chat settings, you’ll see the option, “Allow Microsoft to access page content”
- Click on this option to toggle it off. This will prevent your browsing data from being sent to Microsoft for AI personalization.
